How To Do Laser Sublimation

1. Print - Print your image in a reverse (mirror image) using an ordinary laser printer and a SubToner sublimation toner cartridge. Print on regular copy paper, not special transfer paper. And you can switch the toner cartridges from regular to sublimation without any loss of toner or time. Print your sublimation work, then switch back to printing invoices in seconds. We make cartridges for many HP LaserJets, but call before buying one.

2. Press - Press the printed paper against the material to which you want the image transfered. This could be metal, sublimatible plastic, polyester fabric or even wood or leather. Usually pressing is done for 15 to 30 seconds at 325F to 400F. Pressing can be done through the protective plastic of the metal, or with the plastic removed. If the plastic is removed. If the plastic is removed first some residue will need to be cleaned off with a citrus cleaner. Heat presses start around $300. We don't sell them, but can recommend sources to buy.

3. Peel - Wait a minute or so to let plate cool a little before peeling off the paper. You're finished! It really is as easy as Print, Press and Peel!
