| The History of Hilton
Images, Inc.
- Richard Hilton
In 1990 I started a toner
cartridge remanufacturing business, Gold Seal Toner Labs, where
I learned about cartridges and toners. I sold that in 1994, and
went to work for a larger toner cartridge company where I became
a certified laser printer technician. That company became a Sawgrass
Technologies distributor and I was appointed the in-house tech support
person, for all things having to do with sublimation. I demonstrated
the products at shows and started a small business on the side,
making sublimated ceramic tiles. This expanded to include products
with images sublimated on metal and I found myself making sublimation
toner cartridges in our garage, for my own use.
A former co-worker had started a business distributing
sublimation products and he asked me to supply sublimation toner
cartridges for his customers. So in late 1999 I began making sublimation
toner cartridges professionally.
Hilton Images, Inc., has grown 20% to 32% each
year over the previous year. My wife Bev and I moved to Gainesville,
Florida, in late 2006, and we now have four employees, our extended
family.
Our devotion to customer service is the main reason
for our growth. We have always been committed to maintaining long-term
relationships.
